Keep Calm Mother On! with Christy Thomas

Jun 7, 2019

This episode is on HYPERVIGILANCE.

Hypervigilance  as a caregiver is taking is the state of giving yourself for the needs of others.

Signs of Burn-Out:

  1. Desire for social interaction at home
  2. Unwillingness to engage in activities not related to your area of hyper-vigilance.
  3. Reduced interaction with non-parent/work friends
  4. Procrastination with decision making
  5. Non-involvement with family activities. You might be present, but not engaged.
  6. I “usta” syndrome

This is part one of a four part series where I unpack how to be aware of care-giver stress and tools on how to reduce checking out and burning out.
