Pre-Treat: Notice when you're going to put yourself in a space that might trigger you. I'm going to choose to use a hand lotion to help me pause.
After a bite:Verbalize that you have a sensitivity. Apologize if needed. Then spend quality positive time to rebuild and heal. 5 minutes can do amazing things.

Make a face mask with fresh produce. I love face masks made with avocado, bananas or strawberries.
Make a scavenger hunt around your house for your kids. You can use drawings or riddles as clues. I like making the treasure a special family dinner—BACKWARDS meal, where you eat dessert first.
